Surely the whole point of the programme is to educate people?
Exactly Steve, these are the kind of vehicles I last worked on fifteen years ago and when I got back into it with my disco 300tdi watching wheeler dealers was great to watch for just updating the knowledge I'd lost over that time when I'd not touched any spanners.

Big up the mighty edd china.

It is basically a cocking and blocking programme. Cocking and blocking (as it is known in the trade) goes on all over the country, maybe not as much as it used to, but basically it's about buying a car at auction. Cocking it or doing it up on a shoestring and then sticking it in another auction or Block (as they are known in trade) to make a small profit. Brewer will possibly have done this when he was a trader. I used to do this, i always had a few cockers in garage to work on when trade was slack. Sometimes you blued on them (made a loss) but most of the time a small profit or sometimes a good one kept money coming in.
