White 90

What is the 'standard' ride height for a Defender 90 and where/how is it measured? I have a '91 defender 200TDI which is wonderful, but has had an eventful life by the look of it. I think it rides higher than standard and is quite hard. The springs are old and rusty so no clues there.
Also, I once owned a classic Range Rover which had a lovely ride. Can I get a similar ride quality from my Defender? I don't intend to tow great weights, just gentle green laning and road use.

Range rover sits on rubber mounts. your defender is bolted directly to the chassis.

You can fit softer springs though

might have some fancy poly bushs fitted.. ya can get really hard ones on and really soft ones.
Does it have standard tires on, 205/80/16 if there bigger then yes it will be higher than standard.
