Hello !

Got a couple of sniggles with my 2002 L322 td6 HSE.

noticed that my left hand passenger heated wing mirror has stopped working as on the cold mornings the right one clears but the left one doesnt... iv checked the fuses and they seem to be ok.

i might have the wrong fuse ? am i right saying both mirrors are on one fuse in the passenger glove box fuse box ? or in another fuse box somewhere ?


Lastly, my heated steering wheel has stopped working, you press the "on" button on the steering wheel and it illuminates for a split second and goes out. can anyone tell me where the relay would be located for the heated steering wheel ? it could just be a sticking relay ?

left usually first to get knocked off a car!! then replaced with cheaper none heated mirror, has mirror it self got an element?

when you price up the dealer replacement you will see why people dont bother.i think its about £260 plus vat.
try to get diagnostics on the job.faults may clear.

and the rest if its chromatic nearly £500 what you would need to do firstly is try whats known as a "hard reset" disconnect both battery leads and hold them together for 30 seconds ( trust me sounds weired but it works!! ) re cal steering angle sensor ( turning lock to lock )if this fails relays iirc are in the offside rear boot compartment also there is a mini fuse box inside the ecu box under the bonnet looks like a white relay but has 5 fuses in

thanks for your replys guys - before doing a hard reset and loosing all my radio settings im going to open the mirror first and check its a heated glass or not. im sure it must be as its the self dimming one which works fine so im sure they wouldnt do a dimming one but without the heated function ??

is there a good way to open the back of the mirror without breaking any of the plastic tabs off ??

yeah there is use a wide plastic object ( i use trim tools ) and be gentle as youur mirror glass alone being the chromatic one is over 100 softs!!!! also if u need your radio code then email me your chassis number and i will get it for u foc

Thanks for that regarding the radio code but I fitted an after Market sound system so no radio codes to worry about.
Even then I thought the l322 didnt bother coding the radios ?

Re the back of mirror removal , think I've read somewhere that an old credit card worked well..
