So 30 inch tyres pretty much std 750 size dia, gearing should be about the same as std.

90 not sure bout transfer box how do i find out?

I make that about an inch less dia than 750's so shouldn't be far out.

When you say 50 does it feel like you need another gear or is it struggling to maintain revs in top?

My 12j N/a would do an indicated 70 and fall to about 60 on hills 50 on long hills. 19J turbo lump should be pretty good but most are in poor cond.

gets to 50 (eventually) still feels like its got more to give but doesnt. Doesnt kick smoke out eitha and im down to 30 on hills

compression test will tell you a lot more than me guessing

Changing rings on a 19J doesn't sound worth it, why not replace with TDI??

i am next year when i find a suitable donor (as said in first post) just want a bit more power/speed until then

Is your throttle cable adjusted correctly on the injection pump or on the pedal? if you feel like the engine isn't just running out of puff, then it would seem likely that you're not getting full throttle.

Changing rings is quite a complex jobs wouldn't bother tbh

Is she boosting ? , breathing heavy , mine Just mannaged 70 at a push but she hated it . ripped it out in the end for a 200 .

Mine can sit at 70 all day long, look for a leaking inlet manifold, especially where the clip for the turbo oil pipe is screwed into it.

mine sits at 70... but is most comfortable at 50/60mph... i have a leaking inlet manifold... on the list of to do's
