Afternoon all

I'm Alex, the latest newbie to this fair forum and I'm looking for a spot of advice if you would be so kind.

I've spotted a 300tdi Disco that's had all welding done and has some service history, it looks clean enough but my issue is that the engine has done 230k. Can these take much more mileage assuming regular service and oil changes etc?

Cheers in advance

diesels will run forever as long as they are looked after, if you are that concerned wait out for one with less mileage, or bang yourself a lower mileage engine in.

I have a 300 tdi CSW that has done 208k and is in great condition. As long as the engine has been looked after then it should just need wear & tear replacement parts, it is better than a previous 200 tdi discovery that I think had its ass whooped before I got it

Its not M***LOX is it? I sold my 300TDi recently with near on 230k, that had all the welding recently done on it!

Nah it's not yours mate.

Cheers for the replies so far, any other words of wisdom when buying a Disco?

Cheers

Check for rust in sills, wings & boot floor. Check for leaking sunroof. Learn to weld & buy a MIG
