I have a 1998 P38A DSE automatic which has had the EAS 'modified' by a previous owner. The system now has three switches located on the cubby box as follows:
Switch one: switches to inflate or deflate system.
Switches two and three: select/de-select each axle
Not sure why this has been done but means you can determine your own preferred ride height.
The system is air tight and maintains whatever height configuration is applied. The airsprings are in good condition - 3 appear to be almost new. The compressor looks almost new and works well.
The problem is at the rear axle: the n/s spring inflates quicker than the o/s which results in the car sitting unevenly when the system is switched off. However, if I allow it to fully raise it sits almost perfectly.
Can anybody advise how I can get the rear airsprings to inflate at the same speed to allow the vehicle to sit evenly?
I don't know if the height sensors are still active? How can I tell? Does it need calibrated using the cable/software available on eBay?
Any help very much appreciated.
Thank you.......
