My first post so please be gentle!

Im getting my 2004 TD5 90 ready for a trip to Norway in February and for comfort have been adding a number of heated bits (SWMBO would not come otherwise)!

Question is I have added a heated screen and seats and have got OEM switches for the dash but my loom doesn't have the plugs in it (seems strange but then don't suppose Land Rover are big on freebies), is there any place I can get the loom plugs from so the wiring is a bit neater than loads of mini spades jammed onto the switch blades. In the wiring manual the loom plugs are C0131 (screen) and C0250 (seats).

I've done a search (or two) and searched the net but couldn't find anything so if anyone can help or knows someone who may have a loom they are chopping up then that'd be great!

Hi Kris,

These switches use an AMP/Tyco 'Multilock' 5-way switch connector, with 070 terminals.

There are 4 different colours of connector - Black, White, Blue and Green, which aren't directly interchangeable, due to moulded keyways on the connector body.


The Defender Heated Screen Switch YUG000460LNF uses the White connector, the Heated Seat Switches use either a Black or Green connector, depending on the switch's part number -

YUG102430 - LH Heated Seat Switch - uses Green connector - £8.20

YUG102440 - RH Heated Seat Switch - uses Black connector - £30.96


The LH and RH Heated Seat Switches are identical, with the exception of the connector keyways (and the price )



The Black and Green Connectors are available from landrover-connectors on eBay -
