I have noticed that the top half of the clutch pedal movement is extremely soft as if nothing is moving then the actual clutch movement is in the bottom half of the travel.

Does anyone know what could be causing this and how it can be resolved, the car is driving fine except for a slightly sticky 2nd gear.

Check the level of yr clutch fluid

check master and slave for leaks, check the fluid looks clean and not black and icky.......with luck it just needs bleeding

Fluid looks clean but is just below the minimum mark. Will top that up later and check for any signs of leaking.
