Does any one know if you get a noncat down pipe for a dse .

Never seen one. And if you fit it it is illegal. Will most certainly fail new MOT regulations. Construction and use regulations state that cats MUST be fitted to ALL road vehicles made in or after 1993. There is going to be some fun next year.

ye i herd but theres not a cat test for diesels, but some chassy numbers require them.buracrats arnt they great`

There are no tests for diesel cats you are quite right, just smoke test. But the fact it ain't there will be enough if new test is all it's supposed to be. Nobody knows yet. Any vehicle 93 and on needs a cat. As P38s did not come out til 95 i think it is safe to assume it will need one. Or something that looks like one at least. But i did not say that.:D:D:D

I've seriously thought of doing what WAMMERS didn't say but having talked to a couple of folk who've tried fitting empty cat boxes to fool the MOT examiner the consensus seems to be that the noise is terrible.

Not if you put a pipe through the middle of them.:):)
