Gidday all, new to landyzone. What a great forum and information platform to us Landrover owners. Owned and driven 300-Tdi 110 Wagon for ten years. Seen a bit of off roading throughout Australia. Currently Defender up to 310,000 kms and still on same motor (Touch Wood). Service regularly and is highly modified for camping and remote use. Had to renew my heater core today, well pull out the old one, what a tricky job. The heater core over the years had rubbed a small hole at the bottom of itself against the heater housing. Probably normal and common. Any way the whole heaterbox had to be removed! A little tricky with factory air. Will fit new one when it arrives. Parts are readily available in the land of Oz although there is much more on offer in the UK. I have a good supplier who lives not far and is great to deal with. I live in NE Victoria, which we have just hit Winter

The sheep...well we have lots of the wooly jumpers, in good nick, but watch out for the NZ variety!
Oz has been in a bad drought for many years, but as you may know, has broken earlier this year. We have had major floods in most states. So the country is looking great and the future for the farmers looks great.
I live in a rural area near the border of Victoria and New South Wales. Three hours drive north of Melbourne ans six hours south of Sydney. We have lots to offer, Snow Fields, Wineries, Boating and fishing, and, of coarse some pretty extreme 4WDriving.
The ashes has been mentioned....every team has its down time, lets say, we won`t be down for long!
Not sure about the Tourak (Toorak) Tractor comment. Down here we call anything that lives in the urban jungle that doesn`t see a dirt road a Toorak Tractor. Toorak is a well to do suburb in Melbourne.
