Anybody out there - need help!!!! My 08 Range Rover Sport just gone into as suspicious knocking coming from engine. Had call back from workshop only to be told engine is completely shot at!!! Metal pieces in oil!!! Warranty guy been out but wants engine completely stripping down before any commitment. Car only done 30000 miles, serviced by main dealer and has warranty on it.
Any comments?

Take it back to the main stealer ( sorry typo ( sic)) dealer and demand they sort it

Petrol or Diesel?

It may be serviced by a main dealer but do you check the oil at regular intervals? So many people think just cos they have a car serviced they dont have to worry about it in between.
