does anyone know how to tell manufacture date and model year from the vin #? it is*SALLJGMF8MA113819* or is there a production date tag somewhere, this is a LHD model...

Thank you, I will quit looking in the pre march '94 wiring diagrams. Does anyone know where the window control module that I see in the wiring diagram is? I am having trouble with my rear power windows not always operating...

I am importing it to Tanzania and need to avoid Extra Excise Duty (Punishment20% extra) for it being 10 years old. The VIN is SALLPAMW71A458700 ENG NO 34229702. I need the EXACT date of manufacture to see if I have managed to avoid this horrible tax. Thanks.

If you stopped posting the same question all over the place and looked at the answers on the posts you've already made you might find you have been given the answer already.:doh:

In other words the build date is unavailable for the D1, although build data is available for the D2.
