Hi I hate to start with what could be a swear word on here
how I am normally a Hilux person (business use)
However with a 4th kid on the way I am need of another car
so it terms it needs to be a 7 seater
I have looked at the discovery of course however I did here that the late 90s
range rover could come with 7 seats.
Main point are:
7 Seats ALL with 3 point belts NONE of this lap belt rubbish.
Must be a manual cannot stand autos (plus other reasons)
And I would prefer a diesel
Budget is a bit limited.
so any advice what to look for ETC quite new to Land rovers
However like to add I personally been eyeing up range rovers for years
and would really like to get one of them.

dunno where youd find a rr with 7 seats.Think overfinch did some but pretty rare

and the boot is a two part jobbie, not a door that swings to one side like on toyotas so ingress/egress would be a bit of a scramble.

A Disco 3 is the only one with 7 seats with 3 point belts, or a 110 with 2 forward facing seats and belts in the boot.

90s Range Rover (P38) is best avoided as a money pit and anyway, I've never seen one with 7 seats. If they do exist they will be extremely rare.

Discovery 2 of the same age is a better vehicle but with side facing rearmost seats.

A recent 110 with forward facing rearmost seats will have 7 three point belts, though is a completely different vehicle to a Disco or Rangie.

Unless you have £15k+ to spend on a Discovery 3, you're going to have to compromise in one way or another.

P38's needn't be money pits if properly looked after! 7 seat kits were available and show up on fleabay etc every so often. They weren't factory, but from one of the custom houses, Overfinch I think.

Don't really wanna have this argument... all I'm gonna say is that the evidence is there and would be enough to put people off of buying one. Most would agree with me - just trying to give the bloke some sound advice
