I have read that this is a difficult job.
My hinges and bolts are very rusty.

Is this a job that I can do myself, will the doors ever line up proppa again?

Any tips?

Thanks.

Dead easy in fact so much so that I even managed to do it.

I defo couldn't have done it without one of these :-

Halfords | Halfords Advanced Professional Impact Driver and Bits

I took the door panels off first then closed the doors,
Removed top hinge using brute force with impact driver.
Replaced hinge with new one.
Repeat on all hinges.
Replaced door panels.
Doors remained lined up as I never let them drop because they were closed.

Took 2 hours due to them being proper rusted but worth the hassle.

If you do a search you will find lots of other tips..... remember the hinges are not the same, you have a top and a bottom.... had me scratchin me head for while :)

And if they dunt come out you have to drill the heads off.....dunt drop the not so captive things down the pillar though as they are a pain in the ass to get out.

Look at Busters Guides on this forum. Hes done one for door hinges.

Its thanks to Busters guides that I decided to ££ donate to this forum. Hes saved me hours of work.
