OK guys I know there are hundreds of threads on here for sizes of wheels/tyres ets..................but i just cannot find the info that I need.

1990 defender 110. Original front axle(disc brakes). Now fitted with a salisbury disc braked rear axle. At the moment it's running on 245-75-r16 all terrains.
What I need to know, if I fit 265-75-16 MT/s on steel wheels, will they fit on without having to do any alterations, ie lift or spacers etc?? I can just about manage to adjust the steering stops though if necessary.

If anyone can help on this i will be eternally grateful.
Thanx in advance
Richard

Just do the maths...see how much space you have under there. Your current tyres have a sidewall height of 183.75 ... your new ones will be 198.75 so will be an increase diameter of 32. Sorry for the boring answer.

Thanx for the info. Looks like there is plenty of room for them to fit then.
I just didn't want to waste a whole load of cash buying them just to find that they would not fit.

265/75/16 will fit easily without needing spacers or lift, i had 305/70/16 on standard suspension without spacers
