i was thinking of cutting it out and welding a piece of pipe to fill the gap. The thing is probably full of crap anyway. My Disco just seems sluggish. My mate picked up one which had this cat less disco.

Hi i removed mine and it made my 300 tdi quicker and it is better on diesel as well, would be good to do away with the EGR valve that will help as well

What they said .. I also picked up a straight through centre pipe for a tenner at a show. Helps just that little bit more ..

just buy a de-cat pipe from somewhere they are about £18 odd quid maybe cheaper, easier than cutting and welding, unless that floats your boat of coarse

Steady, steady Koen, they are talking about a replacement pipe for a TDi engined car, not TD5 !!


On TDi, you can use the non-flexy downpipe from a Defender and they do cost about £20.

However, on TD5, the setup on Defender and Disco is identical in the downpipe department so there are no cheap options:behindsofa:
