can any one help i have an 04 td6 that was running fine today got home parked it up and now it wont start? i have checked the fuel pump fuses? and also checked the deisel is getting to the fuel filter? can anyone help with this problem

Is it cranking over?

is there any smoke from the exhaust while cranking?

Can you hear the fuel pump priming when the ignition is turned on?

how long was it parked for before you realised it wouldn't start?

how much fuel is in the tank?

Hi Thanks for getting back to me
the tank has about £15 worth in
the car was parked up for about 2 hours
i have taken the fuel pipe off the filter and fuel comes out
i can here the pumps under the car

try giving it a quick sniff of easy start or carb cleaner via the air intake. (take the top off the air filter housing first). If it fires then suspect a dodgy injector or injector seal.

Has the management light been on recently? Has it suffered any loss of power? do you do much towing with it?

ok.

Try the sniff of carb cleaner/easy start route then. Don't put loads down the intake. It should only need around a 1 second burst.

ok thanks will this clear it????? or just high light a the problem being an injector???/
i'll give it a go first thing before its towed away to the stealers

Can you tell me is it hard to replace an injector??? how will i know which one it is ??
