May seem a daft question but would the front shockies from a petrol freelander fit my td4 ?

Well turned out selectors were damaged and new gear box went in

It's definitely the slave cylinder not the master , and he had bled it a couple of times before work started on it first time round as you said solved problem for a little while. , box is now sitting in his workshop waiting to be striped when he's got time

Well the box is out but it's selecting gears no problem hmmm

Hubbies out taking gearbox out as I speak hopefully nothing was broken first time round , getting desperate for my motor back!!

Well box is coming out tomorrow so here's hoping its nothing too drastic !!

Well hubbie is a mechanic but never worked on landrovers before goes into 1st and reverse no problem just the rest of the gears

It was the slave , I'm sure he has bled it but I'm not 100% sure

HELP!!! I've got a td4 es 2001 and the slave cylinder packed in put new part in and now itl only select 1st and reverse any help would be hugely appreciated before my hubbie Loses it and torches my motor !

well after all my humming and hawing i missed the bloody boat came back from work yesterday and said driveway is minus one freelander :censored:

Handbrake cables fitted! hopefully drop links tomorrow weather permitting.

looked at it on the passing with other motor .....c'mon dvla hurry up with that disc! hate the other motor gutless as hell!

its still intact, infact if i had somewhere to put it id be tempted in asking to buy the motor to strip for spares handy that its the same colour as my own so could strip a good few parts off it

new brake shoes fitted
