Hi everyone freelander 1.8K series every so often get a really strong smell of petrol from back of car and can last a few days then nothing for weeks. Checked all underneath and no signs of a fuel leak and all fuel lines dry and in good condition Has any one else had same kind of fault if so...

Hi all im after a few bits for my disco 1 300 tdi Some 265/70/16 MTs tyres x4 ideally insa trak remoulds (Dakar) Light bar not fussed if light are fitted Steering Guard 2" lift spacers and does any one no of any spot light brackets for a 300 tdi got a tubular bumper on it but no winch or does...

double check you connected pipes right way round on lift pump as may only be running on fuel whats in fuel filter just a thought as id made the same mistake and for the sake of 10 mins work got to be worth a try

was all good at the time now off road again due to broken valve spring which is second one to break in as many week. So weekend head off again remove and renew all other valve springs whack a 3 hole head gasket on new pushrods new lash caps and hopefully a good few months of trouble free...

What are front wheel bearings like to do on a Freelander 1

Been told you can use the head bolts on a disco 300 tdi upto 5 times has anyone else heard this as supposed to be in the Haynes manual... But I'm not so sure.....

Oil and filter change and gave it a good run and that cleared it must of been residue in exhaust.....

Any ideas what would cause another valve spring to break on my 300 tdi discovery this time it's a different cylinder. As can't understand why another has broken only reason I can think of is head I had that was supposed to be good has got bent valves.... Thanks for any advice or ideas in advance

Replaced head due to head gasket going before Xmas which had cracked head hence replacing the head

Broke a valve spring on my 300 tdi discovery. Replaced broken valve spring and collet. All good and less than 70 miles later the same valve spring has broken again. What could the possible cause of it happening again on same cylinder. Could it be a bent valve that's caused. It to break again as...

Won't bump with ignition on down hill in second gear which makes me think it's a earth problem but will check thin wire tomorrow just incase it's a poor connection. But any other advice or suggestions would be very welcome thou.... Thanks guys...
