I know what you mean. I've struggled with the thought of getting rid of it because it's such a practical vehicle. But I have a company car now which means I hardly ever use my Disco. I'm concerned that it will deteriorate through lack of use. I've only done 6k miles since January 2014...

Done some price research since then. It's one of the last Discovery 2's and in nice nick. Check out other Discos on the tinterweb. There's a lot of 2002s and 2003s priced a lot more than this. At the end of the day, you get what you pay for.

I live near Durham and use AXA insurance. It costs me £17 a month fully comp. I'm 54 years young. :-) Putting my wife on the insurance actually reduced the insurance cost. She never ever drives it as she can't depress the clutch. A good thing, no doubt!

I use Durham 4 x 4 for most work on my Landie and would definitely recommend them. I've always found them to be helpful and honest.

About 6 years back I used Trellaborg air bags with push-in air hose connectors. Easy job with good axle stands and a 3 ton trolley jack. Think the air bags were £50 each back then.
