How about the fuel cutoff solenoid then? Mr. Haynes makes reference to a fuel pump relay as well but I'm assuming this is only for the V8 version as both fuel pumps in the tdi are mechanical. I've not tried it but I would guess that bump starting the 2 tonne diesel lump would require towing...

3rd party insurance for my 300tdi Disco is £600 with Adrian Flux, I'm 22 with 4 year's driving experience and 3 points. Was much cheaper to go with a specialist insurer than any of the crap you will find on go compare etc. Dave
