    Front hub help.

Stripped one today and thought I would post the pics, on the off chance someone has them fitted. No more different than stripping a hub so straight forward job with no springs or such like flying out! I did a bit of searching once they were identified as Fairey AFWH and as the last two...

    Front hub help.

I have done a few searches and not came up with anything to identify the front hubs/free wheel hubs fitted to the front of my SWB 69 S2A Anyone any ideas? Inner hub seals are gubbed so will need to strip them down and thought I would ask first in case there is anything I should be aware of...

Thanks James, Definitely ordered a rear but that is what they sent me. Still waiting for a reply from supplier as I sent them same picture. Very frustrating as it's holding up it's return to the road.

    Rear stub axle help.

I bought a new rear stub axle for my 1969 2A swb and the supplied part Britpart 599827 which was listed as 'up to 1980' but as the picture shows it's different. I'm awaiting a response from the supplier but thought I would ask here meantime. Any suggestions? Looks like a standard axle.

Thanks guys, I will just order a new one with collar etc. Just needed confirmation of what I suspected would be the case.

    Rear stub axle

Thanks for that... Question about the distance piece... I did a few searches and it was mentioned that to have a snug fit it is best to heat it in the oven, fit and allow to cool to ensure a tight fit?? Problem I have is my Landrover is in a lock-up away from home with no power, I use a small...

    Rear stub axle

Bit of advice required. Stripped down rear hub to do inner oil seal and here's what the stub axle looks like. Should I replace stub axle? Wheel bearings are fine and correct me if I'm wrong but the badly pitted area on the stub does not come in contact with bearings?

    Hello all

Only took me nearly 2 years to post photos! Currently undergoing MOT work after getting a replacement engine. Has been in that lock up for 5 years now so looking forward to cleaning it up and getting it back on the road.

    Show us your V8

It's my series 2A, owned of last 25yr and stored for last 5 in a lock-up. It was converted to a V8 prior to storage and I posted ages ago about the block freezing and cracking but I got a 2nd hand engine that turns out to be an absolute belter of a V8. So my Lanny has a new lease of life. If I...

    High torque starter motor

Out of interest, which starter did you buy, where from and if you don't mind me asking, how much did it cost? I have not had time to get back out and try the aforementioned fixes prior to replacing the starter. In the meantime I stripped down the smaller Lucas unit that was originally on...

    High torque starter motor

Thanks guys, I guess at this stage I guess I'm blaming the starter due to it's age and what with having new batteries, but will check everything else first. Wont be able to get out to car till next week, will check earths and do headlight test. When firing the engine up for the first...

    High torque starter motor

I have 2 new batteries (Yuasa Pro 700CCA and 95Ah) that I use when working on my Landrover and since it's in a lock-up I always bring them home with me and recharge if needed. I think I can rule the battery out based on this. Initially the engine spins well but as I said if it will not start...
