    Disco 2 Warning lights

The repair listed on the Virgin Islands link is the one. The fault is caused by an intermittent connection to the shuttle valve. It is possible (probable?) that the shuttle valve itself is ok. I would try the repair on the exisiting valve first. You have nothing to loose. Guard against...

    New Nanocom Evolution

This thread really reinforces the value of this forum. At first I thought the Nanocom was the device to have - now changed my mind. I think the Hawkeye looks the better bet -its the cost of adding another vehicle that puts me off. Still thats better than having a Nanocom "brick". What...

    New Nanocom Evolution

I agree about support - it's very important. Elsewhere on this forum there is a guy with a "bricked" Nanocom that failed to upload the new firmware. This can often happen with any computer based gear and its essential to have some good support when it does. I need a Naocom to find out why...

Have i bought a pup :( starting to think i have..

This is the direct link to the shuttle valve fix ABS Mod - Land Rover Club V.I. I also had the 3 amigos and did this fix. Its easy. It is a bit fiddly getting the valve assembly out and the new one in - but there is no need to bleed the brakes afterwards. The valve itself is about £35...

    Most ridiculous MOT fail ever?

the data protection act has no application here because the data does not refer to a named individual - its the car. and, even if it did refer to a person it still doesn't apply because the data is being used for the purpose it was originally collected. however, its stll down to the tester...

    3 Amigos - nearly!

I have previously had the 3 amigos and fixed them (new shuttle valve assembly plus wiring mod). I now have something different. A couple of times I have the ABS, TC and brake warning light come on accompanied by the dreaded 3 chimes. I bet this is discussed somewhere here but all I get...

Disco II Leaking sunroof - possible solution

I too recently joined the leaky sunroof club. It was about the only common fault my Disco (2 - face lifted - 2002) had avoided. With the help of the descriptions given here I tackled the job today - in the rain!! Discovered both drain pipes had snapped off the front sunroof. Hence...

I hesitate to add anything to the brill history given by The Mad Hat Man, so, anyway, here goes...... I heard that the original vehicle was known as a general purpose vehicle. This was shortned to GP which became.......... I bet someone knows different! Ian

    Louder Indicators

I am sure I saw somewhere a gadget that fits between the standard relay and the fuse box and gives a much louder "tick" when the indicators are on. As my years advance :violin:I find I need that extra noise to make sure I don't leave the indicators on (I know - I could look at the dashboard -...
