I have twin 7" DVD screens in the landy i was just wondering is there a sat nav unit i could connect to the bigger screens ?

Without the use of a pc/laptop with GPS of some sort i cant see a way to use one as a sat nav mate. I'v just installed mini laptop and an 8" touch screen for sat-nav and other purposes

just wondered if there was a sat nav with a line out / display out :)

We know what you need, a question on a disco will get you a few quick replys 9 out of 10 times, but i'm sure i'm like most owners in this forum we are not up to speed with all the sat-nav products their functions and features, also if someone was able to help you still haven't named your 7" DVD screens or given their specification which would help, maybe..

I assume you have google'd and have been unable to find your answer there..

yes I have googled and although the answer is out there some where it was more a way of how to phrase the search for google the connectors are RGB / phono type on the screen they are made by some cheap company (ventura) I think

garmin make a satnav that is specifically designed to give an external display. i forget the model but just browse their site.

i used it on my volvo to get a display on the built in screen. try a search on the swedespeed site for a description.

may have found a cheap soloution run the satnav from my iPhone and there is a cable to connect to a monitor

But you would need free internet access on the iphone or it would be a £££££ to run i run my Blackberry sat nav which is free internet so works for me just need to update the maps.

i have a proper sat nav app on the iphone so it is free , the internet is free on my iphone too :)
