    D2: which auto gearbox oil

My TD5 Disco has just done 130k miles and I'm thinking of having an auto gearbox oil and filter change. My mates really doing it and I'm just assisting, but I'm getting the parts and oil together for the end of the month. I've done searches and some are really confusing about what oil to use...

    Locking nuts on D2 worn.

The locking nuts are shagged on my 2000 TD5. I had to replace the nut remover tool as it'd started to split, with a new one and thats a sloppy fit. Just don't fancy messing about with them if I have to put the spare on, with my luck it'd be at night and in the rain. The alloys are 10 year old...

    Auto locksmith needed.

My ignition lock has broke on my D2 TD5, removed the whole ignition/steering lock assembly and running disco with chip and screwdriver. The key slides in/out ok, but wont rotate. To replace is very costly and I'd still like to keep the one key also. Do's anyone know of a good auto locksmith...

    Disco 2 brake calipers

Are the rear brake calipers on a disco td5 really left and right biased? The nearside rear is binding again, sorted it out twice before recently, I might just replace it this time. Had new pads and discs all round 6000 miles ago. Island4x4 seem to be the best priced at £38 on the bay. Thanks...

Wind deflectors- Internal or external fittings?.

The mrs has a dodgey left ear and the noise from the wind passing the passenger window gives her an headache on a long run, so I'm thinking of fitting wind deflectors to my Td5. Which ones should I go for, the internal channel fitting or the external stick on? Thankyou, Paul

slotted brake discs on wrong end of axle?

I fitted drilled, slotted brake discs on the front of my disco2 two weeks ago for the MOT and now find that the discs are on the wrong side of the axle. Will this make a difference to the brakeing or disc/pads wear life? Seem ok so far. Passed MOT ok, just advisory on rear pads...

Disco 2 rear bench seat base wont lock down

I dropped the rear double seat down for a trip to the tip and the base wont lock down allowing the backrest to lock in. I've had the disco for 2 months and this is the first time i've had the seat folded foreward. I've taken the seat side cover off and can see that the spring is a bit stretched...
