Hi all I have been having some problems with my 1998, 300tdi auto. When driving along the autobox is chucking out its oil and its taken a long time to find the problem but at last I think I have it. I have put some extra pipe onto the breather and oil seems to be coming out of that. Anyone know...

I can trace the axle pipes and have found the ends of them and its not them. If these pipes are off the gearbox would there be a problem with the auto box that would let the atf come up these pipes

No just two snapped ends pointing up

Its a hard plastic pipe and the ends look like they have been snapped (they are not clean cut) if you know what I mean.

Will look for for the boost hose tomorrow in daylight and see if thats the one thanks.

Been to a local 4x4 parts supplier and he advised just to fit a 3 holer. The new gasket is metal and the old gasket was fibre so have I got a better one to go back on???

The two pipes just stick up from behind the head and look like the same sort of pipe used to vent the diffs etc. Just looked at them and couldn't work out why they look like they have been snapped? And thanks for the help on the head gasket I will get one today.

Thanks for the reply could be worth a look. Anyone know where to look for the breather? Better just add its had new oil and filter done on the box about 3000 miles ago and the box changes and runs smooth still.
