but as there's just one spade for all the rings I guess it ain't gonna be that. Surely there should be 2 connections??! One "in", one "out"?

Hi all. I suspect my VC is siezed. Can anyone tell me which parts should rotate in relation to each other? I've marked the two halves of the VC and they haven't moved. Should they? Or is it only the propshafts that should change? Ta muchly

That would be the slave cylinder bracket. Apparently prone to corroding/bending, or the crap plastic clip that holds the cylinder in said bracket. Easier to get to by removing air-box. I only know this 'cos my clutch is as heavy as f##k and I tried to free it off by hitting the fork with WD!

Hi O/P:) According to my manual "the window will stop moving as soon as the switch is released", Page 28. I guess we have different manuals; page 65 in mine is about Starting and Driving. Anyway, I tried it again just in case I was being a numpty and it's as my manual stated. Bummer.
