Here’s a pic of the wheel. I think there’s nowhere you could get a three-bolt puller onto this unless it was a special one that attached to the Momo holes. I bought this puller but the arms slip off before the wheel moves on the splines.

Yes that sounds like the same design. Maybe mine just needs more bashing.

Thanks. Yes there is a boss with the wheel bolted onto it. I took the wheel off the boss at first but then put it back to try to help me pull it off. But that didn’t help! I’ll add a picture tomorrow, it’s too dark now…

Thanks. Yes this one must have not had a lock washer for a good few years and the nut was done up very tight. I’ve got a 36 spline wheel from eBay.

Thanks. The failure certificate doesn’t have a number on it. I think maybe they just failed it on visible smoke. I’ve been aware of it smoking when I start the engine and on acceleration. I can look at the air filter. What would it mean if removing the air filter changed the smokiness? I think...
