I have a really annoying gearbox noise traveling up through the gearshift on my d2 td5 , is there easy cure to this ??

yeh coolio looks like the frc9985 bush if thats the bottom one that holds the ball with a snap clip thats what i am after but seems you are miles away from me :(

cheers for reply bias plate new its the old problem of yoke mangled in gearbox , ball on top all retrieved , now trying to find new yoke as everyone seems closed until after new year !!! :(

ok guys thanks for all the helping advice on here , after fitting new bag , which made no difference , fitted new sensor , which made no difference , finaly decided pump had to be the problem , so off it came and bingo solenoid gone to that side of car , found one on a breakers site , finally...

cheers will try again in am , where can i get a calibration test done as cannot move car is it something i can hire ? or is it a expensive visit from landrover mechanic ? Ray.:rolleyes:

ok fellas , heres update ,,, new sensor fitted plus airbag , still not having it , have now connected pump direct to spare battery , and its working , disconnected center pipe and it is blowing air ?/ but ??? no air coming from outlet of pump to back nearside , really stuck now , am seriously...

have now tried all suggestions to no avail , now awaiting delivery of new sensors , thinking this is more likely the problem , pump seems to be working fine as it is pumping up the other side fine ,,,,:(

yes i have thought this myself may get new sensors anyway as they pretty naff , thanks will let you know how i get on my friend !!

battery was disconnected , beforehand ,,, its a bit of a mystery to say the least but will have another go tomorrow .

td5 series 2 pulling my hair out here , after a period of motor off road ,finaly got it to pump up suspension only to drive for a couple miles before rear passenger side collapsed , guessed it was bag , so have replaced , now will not pump up for love or money ,, pump running on start up but...

have just got your message , will try this in morning i have disconnected the valves ?/ but did not re start to see if any pressure was coming through this is very useful tip will def try ,, its all most strange as test run was fine when put back on the vroad then after couple of miles back...

yep tried that to and bingo nothing ,, with window open i have started the car and run around nearside and pump is working , just dosen't want to pump enough air to the back its not having it at all , have checked fuses , relays , short of changing sensors , i am really baffled ,, maybe the pump...

Thanks for that , i do recall doing that when i fitted new bags , on the other hand i dont think i have had doors closed !! will shut everything in morning inc bonnet jack the mother up and try again if no good will get a box of matches out ,, :) cheers again guys !!

ok guys need some help here my series 2 td5 been off the road as had earth drain but seems it was old battery not holding a charge got new battery , barely touched key and burst into life , has been standing for about 3 weeks now back suspension has dropped and wont level itself was working...

i have same problem have everything off apart from main nut ,, what is the exact socket size ??? have tried 32 mm but being a long socket wants to tip when any pressure applied any help would be grateful Ray ,:(:mad::mad:
