I've got some new bolts ready to fit. Looking at the replacement joint, it looks like there is a seal under the cover. Do you know if the covers are loose on the Original one. I was thinking remove bolts, re-grease and then apply some sealant before refitting with new bolts.

Looking at getting another freelander. I have seen a FL2 with 140k on the clock. What sort of mileage are these doing before major engine issues. Anything else I should look out for?

Should there be a cover in the plate between engine and gearbox behind Ird? I can see the back of the flywheel. Maybe this was it and it had fallen inside?

Im doing clutch on my Td4 at the moment. It's much quicker putting it all back. Clutch and gearbox fitted this morning. Gearbox mount secure. See how far I get today with it.

It fell out when the gearbox left the engine. Looks to me like it's been wherever it was for a while as this is its first clutch change.
