Should there be a cover in the plate between engine and gearbox behind Ird? I can see the back of the flywheel. Maybe this was it and it had fallen inside?

Im doing clutch on my Td4 at the moment. It's much quicker putting it all back. Clutch and gearbox fitted this morning. Gearbox mount secure. See how far I get today with it.

It fell out when the gearbox left the engine. Looks to me like it's been wherever it was for a while as this is its first clutch change.

Hi Removing the gearbox to replace the clutch and found this on the floor. It's obviously a cover that wasn't fitted properly but I haven't got a Scooby doo where it should fit? Any ideas?

The symptoms improved but never went away completely. I find it performs much better on premium fuel or with some additive like Millers power. I haven't had the injectors done but probably should. It's done 115k now.
