This should help you out, if you follow the directions it is pretty straight forward.

If you do a search Nodge has put some posts up about it as well if I remember rightly, brain is getting a bit...

Best to have all the same but so long as they are the same on the individual axles you should be okay and as smithy says better ones on the rear with same depth of tread if possible.

google is your friend,
MAPCO 26995 Hjulnav (Rear bearing) till LAND ROVER FREELANDER
that's from Autodoc in Sweden so I'm sure with a bit of browsing you'd find one in the UK.
in fact 2 mins on google and ...

Trying my best to remember the process of taking the bearing out and for the life of me I can't remember but I can tell you it was a lot easier using a press, and you'll also need a torque wrench that goes up to 330 nm, hardest part was getting the driveshaft out of the knuckle. But I am sure...

Nodge along with a few others that could probably give a better answer but have you serviced the haldex system, change the transmission oil etc. I have the SD4 2011 and on occasion had the same message but often due to the severe cold we experience up here hence the regular servicing of the oil...

Just wondering if anyone knows a good place to get the special tools for the diff rebuild, I have already got the pinion locknut special tool from paddocks, but need the torque measurement tool and the support frame. The only place I could find these was on JLR Tooling and equipment shop and...

Got the diff off this evening and will proceed to replace the bearings in the next few day/weeks. Couple of questions Nodge if I may. How did you measure the preload/torque on the pinion bearing (did you use the LR special tool) and did you use the special support frame for the diff. If not...

thanks for the update Nodge, in the process of dropping the diff myself, may well come back with a few questions as I proceed. :-)
-
okay just read Nodge's post, last time I looked it hadn't been updated, so got the answer
"The propshaft is centred to the diff flange within a cup. It is a mild interference fit, but is easily removed as there are 2 access holes on the diff side to tap it free with a suitably sized drift...

Just wondering if anyone has successfully disengaged the propshaft from the haldex/diff. It is a 2011 f2 SD and if so how did you do it. I've seen a few threads/videos on the earlier freelanders but not on my one. I need to replace the pinion bearing in the diff which will be a first for me but...

I''l be kind and answer that difficult question as to what LR means (if that brain block hasn't moved yet) LR = ........ wait for it....... drum roll ....... Land Rover :D:D:D

the engine should not be running, it should however be at 60c, either used a OBDII reader which will give a readout of the temperature or a thermogun heat reader thingy ( can't think of proper name) on gear box, alternatively take it for a good run. Yes you do need to get under the car to take...

haven't you rebuilt that Diff yet, just wondering cause if it isn't the rear bearing that has gone then it will be the diff and a step by step guide would be useful. :)
