Well, it's gone, the freelander had a blown head gasket, wasn't worth the money to fix it. Live and learn!

Friday it is then, £££s. Oh well I would buy a freelander. Goes with the territory!!! :(

It's running absolutely fine except for the hesitation every now and then, as i said if i'm on the motorway or staying at a constant speed it's fine. New plugs (NGK Laser Platinum), distributer cap, HT leads, air filter and oil and filter change done about 2 weeks ago, didn't help. The wife had...

Hi fanatic, thanks for your answers, can't seem to find the mass air flow sensor, Rave says its attached to the air filter, isn't this for a diesel. I have a 1.8 petrol and i've looked everywhere to no avail. Where is it?

Bit confused, can't find the MAF on the 1.8 engine, is it the MAP, if so, this is an integral part of the ECM. Looks like i'll be forking out to the specialists, i just can't help feeling its something simple! :( I've checked rave and haynes to no avail... Anyone shed any light?

Just searched MAF on other forums and they suggest disconnecting the MAF and the ECU will use a default fueling setting, if this seems ok its the MAF, do you think its worth a try?

Is that what its called on the rave disc or is it part of the MAF, i'm in Preston.
