Disco 2 is in for major work - options available on TD5 more readily available than Disco 3. ARB safari bumper and under protection to be added soon.

Need to chnage my vehicle Disco 2 needs £1000+ to pass MOT. Any thoughts on suitability Disco 3 and accessories or is it too much of a toy?

Yup I do - Northern Lights and Arctic Highway. Still trying to see if any Disco owners have a standard fit item on theirs. Doesn't seem to have been a popular extra by the looks of it. I am familiar with the electric powered engine heaters after a few visits to the North.

Hi - asked this question on the Disco section - but do any of you long haul guys have any experience of these? Either OEM or after market such as the Webasto units? Was wondering about their efficiency and safety etc.

Does anyone have a fuel burning heater on their Disco - my Haynes Manual goes into some depth on their servicing etc and I was wondering about a rettofit ahead of the planned tour to the Artic Circle. I know you can get Webasto heaters but was wondering about the OEM fitting.

check the exhaust manifold the sound of escaping gasses sounds like turbo whistle.

There's nowhere better in my opinion than the north in the summer - can't stand the idea of chockablock beaches and the idea of running into the desert can wait. However .... I would like to take in the Northern Lights so we will need to prepare ourselves for the worst ... or just fly.

I've been offered an electrocromatic self dimming mirror for my Disco 2 2003. Any idea if these are prewired plug and play replacments?

Thanks - have had a poke around and can't see much. With the ABS in the way it looks like a long job. Have just had a quote for 343+VAT to replace both springs and dampers on each side. Also advised that it could be a duff hight sensor on the rear tipping it forward - this would cost £25...

Agreed - they can shift if you boot it and especially if you get the thing chipped. They can burn a hole in the folding stuff - mine has just cost me £60 and 3 points! Owning a Disco is not a matter of the brain its a matter of the heart. Do you wont a 7 (5) seater that can drive anywhere, pull...

Main routes north are fine - at least they were about 5 years ago when I was last there. Ferries are brilliant and run on time. Never been that far North in the Winter and would advise that you take advice on tyre choice.

Hi - lots of coverage on the problems with rear air suspension - but it lookis like my NS front damper has failed resulting in a slight lean to the left as you look at the vehicle. Any hints or tips for replacment and best source for a pair of new ones and their likely price?
