TD5 Front Suspension

Hi - lots of coverage on the problems with rear air suspension - but it lookis like my NS front damper has failed resulting in a slight lean to the left as you look at the vehicle.

Any hints or tips for replacment and best source for a pair of new ones and their likely price?

Are you sure it is a failed damper that is causing the list? Check the coils while you are under the car.

Be carefull compressing the springs during fitting, use some electrical tape on the spring so the spring compressor(s) do not slide about.

Thanks - have had a poke around and can't see much.

With the ABS in the way it looks like a long job. Have just had a quote for 343+VAT to replace both springs and dampers on each side.

Also advised that it could be a duff hight sensor on the rear tipping it forward - this would cost £25 - but knowing my luck .....
