Bias plate is broken a common and easy to fix problem

hi all can i ask have got a problem
can anyone plz tell me why my gear stick has gone very slack and moves around also its hard to select 3rd and 5th gear

hi all should of introduced my self better had my landrover for about a year now and i love her she is a minter only one owner from new who also loved her as much as me has full service book from new service stamps every 9000 and only has 170 k on the clock . not your average bag of bolts oh yer and me im rikki from oxford
