Hi, a few years ago I took the family in our humble Freelander TD4 up & over the Picos de Europa mountains in northern Spain, especially to drive the Ruta Del Cares.
If you're thinking about going - GO. It's awesome and well worth the drive.

I concur. I had them fitted to my Freelander and did two road trips down into Spain and Portugal over two summers and they were superb offroad and on.

Sorry for confusion, I was addressing it to you Feathers.
The reason I ask is I have the Harmon Kardon system with amp under the passenger seat and multi CD changer under the drivers, and subwoofer in the boot. My LR alpine head unit was dead when I bought the car and I had a Pioneer with...

Haha I know crazy huh. Turns out the one adapter was redundant. So there's the ISO adapter to Pioneer; steering wheel control adapter (for some bizarre reason I had two - I suspect it was in there already); and the "amplifier interface". Gulp

Do you have the amp under your passenger seat?
If so how loud is your stereo (relatively speaking of course) without a "amplifier interface"?
-
Have a look at my threads - I have a drivers footwell ingress problem also that is not AC related - it may help you also. I found the windscreen was not correctly bonded and had that pulled and refitted but still had some ingress but not much. I've resealed both sunroofs, cleaned out drain holes...

I picked up a set of leads and adapters from InCarTec for the Disco2 that I found on here somewhere - it has an adapter for the steering wheel controls and an amplifier interface to "reduce the amplification" from the new Pioneer bluetooth CD stereo so that the sound output can then be amplified...
-
Right I've stripped out my interior and dashboard (so I can install air conditioning as well as trace this annoying ingress point) and found some interesting potential sources...
Is it normal for there to be a hole through the entire floor for the rear outside seat bolt?
That's definitely...
-
Thanks Peter, did you re-seal that whole area?
-
The headliner is dry and so are the sunroof trays - and the damp is only in the drivers side footwell. If the weather actually got warm enough I'd pull the whole carpet out the car so I could try and trace this. I've topped up the coolant this morning so hopefully that may tell me if it's the...

I'll check the drains on the scuttle panel - thanks!
Mmmm heater matrix...I wonder. That'll be leaking down the back of the dash at the start of the tunnel correct?
-
Yes I do - when I had the headliner out I tightened up the mounting nuts. Are those seals known for perishing too?
-
Thanks for the pics & input. My D2 is parked level. I removed both sunroofs completely, cleaned them & the roof surface up and bonded them back in place with copious amounts of Sikaflex - I removed and refitted those cups too. I removed the frame inner seals, cleaned the gutters and refitted...

For anyone wondering what the actual answer to this question is - it's about 8mm. The obstruction I was feeling were the ends of the sliders for the glass. So no issue there.

Hi, does anyone know what the inside diameter of the sunroof drain holes are inside the black plastic collectors?
I've noticed that only one of the four exit holes in the sunroof frames can be easily cleaned with a pipe cleaner from inside the cab (I've pulled the headlining & tubes). The other...
