Right I've stripped out my interior and dashboard (so I can install air conditioning as well as trace this annoying ingress point) and found some interesting potential sources...
Is it normal for there to be a hole through the entire floor for the rear outside seat bolt?
That's definitely one point where water is getting into my cabin and looks like it has been for some time judging by the rust stain on the underside of the carpet at those points. These holes are completely unsealed. Consequently the carpet rubber is damp on the drivers side and across the width of the rear passenger seats but bone dry at the front passenger footwell.
