Intermittent Starting Issue from Ignition Stage 2?

Yes, a 2003 Disco 2. All lights on, and no alarm light (so not immobiliser). Nor any 'click' that I can hear. So, sounds like the solenoid/solenoid contact. Where can I find this little beauty? Cheers all.

Intermittent Starting Issue from Ignition Stage 2?

Have I hit on something that nobody knows about?! Surely not. By the way, all lights seem normal whether it does start or it doesn't. Cheers.

Intermittent Starting Issue from Ignition Stage 2?

Hi All, A new problem started today...:( With ignition in position 2, when I then go to start, sometimes I get absolutely nothing (no noises at all) and sometimes she starts fine? I have been having issues with what I think is a worn ignition barrel for a while, in that it...

Discovery 1 A Bar (black) and fixings

After my poor lady got nicked and used to ram raid a petrol station cash machine a few years back (at least she went in style!), I managed to rescue the black A bar and all fixings. It has two holes for lights. Now for sale; it's a heavy item so will probably need collection from Cirencester...

2003 Disco Auto Power Lag and Water!

Hi All, I have an auto Disco II with 58,000 on the clock, which has been regularly serviced, etc. Ever since I've had it (about 2 years) there has been a bit of a power lag when setting off. It drives OK (although obviously under-powered) and then after a few seconds it seems to 'kick in' and...

HDC light on F4 Flashing 1 gear select only.

As mentioned above mine was nothing gearbox related but a dodgy electrical connection near the battery (within or under the ECU I think). It still cost me a bit to get fixed as it was done by a main stealer, but nothing like a new box which one garage thought it needed! Basically, don't be...

    Help!

If you're losing money, get it to the local LR dealer and get him to sort it. Even if it costs you £500 you'll probably lose more in lost revenue. Sorry, but that's what I'd do. Oscar

    Help!

My FL wouldn't start (intermittently) recentl) and it was a cam shaft sensor. Probably not, because it died slowly, but maybe?? Oscar

Whining noise...not PS pump. What is it?!

Chaser, Thanks again for the reply. I didn't get round to ringing the garage today, I will do it tomorrow and advise accordingly. I think I will take to a LR dealer and have their free 'Health Check' (if they're still doing it?!), and see what they say...may even get a free diagnosis...

I'd considered that, but I've been married for a year so can't be!

    auto or manual?

I have a TD4 auto FL, and once I have sorted the latest problem I will be getting rid, just too much goes wrong for my liking. In 2 years its prob cost over £1000, and that's doing most of it myself. Will get a mitsubishi or toyota next I'm afraid. That said, I like it, and I may have a...
