The return pipe was very full of soot/carbon. The ports were terrible to be honest.

Finally got round to doing mine.
The egr itself didn't look as bad as other reports but the ports were totally gunned up!! Had to carefully scrape what I could out using a large flat head driver. There was a lot!
The difference low down is much improved. I also changed the oil and air filter...

After havingr a go myself the other day as soon as I tried operating the motor the whole thing sounded like it was grinding and chewing the cable up. After taking it apart again it had done just that. One cable was salvaged from the original regulator and I straightened up the other best I could...

My window regulator has decided to fail (the usual cable grinding sound) so as I had taken off the door cards I thought I'd add an image of how I set the wiring up of my alpine speakers.

Stove polish works a treat and you get a similar beading effect to that of using wax.

Ive noticed a slight oil leak from what I believe is the rear diff. The car does not do many miles as my wife uses it to travel to work which is just 5 minutes away. I obviously need to get it sorted but could I leave this till the new year? Its not sufficient that Ive noticed any oil on the...

Cheers. Had to take the interior out to deep clean as it looked a dark yellow/beige before (a previous owner obviously smoked) not good with a beige interior - looked almost like some 1970`s velour!

Well its taken several weeks of half the interior, seats etc out of the car and plenty ear ache from the wife (As I could only do odd bits on a weekend between working on the house) - so don't think you would be happy with the "lead" time on that!

Ok, so we have had our Freelander for a couple of Month now and I decided to sort the speaker system in the car (as most of the original speakers had seized).
I have installed 17cm Alpine components in the front and rear with the crossovers installed neatly behind the door cards. I made mdf...
