Ok, so we have had our Freelander for a couple of Month now and I decided to sort the speaker system in the car (as most of the original speakers had seized).
I have installed 17cm Alpine components in the front and rear with the crossovers installed neatly behind the door cards. I made mdf rings in order to allow sufficient clearance for the window and for the rear I used the original speakers as a template as they are not round (sorry I don't have pictures of this). I wanted everything to look pretty factory and so far I am quite pleased with the results. I just need to get hold of a mono amp to run the sub now!

Do you wanna come do mine for me lol

Well its taken several weeks of half the interior, seats etc out of the car and plenty ear ache from the wife (As I could only do odd bits on a weekend between working on the house) - so don't think you would be happy with the "lead" time on that!

My window regulator has decided to fail (the usual cable grinding sound) so as I had taken off the door cards I thought I'd add an image of how I set the wiring up of my alpine speakers.
