Meh...you're still better off doing as I and other suggest. If it were a few hundred $'s I'd understand, but for the sake of $'s you can count on one hand, that makes you a tightarse. There will be a time when you regret not spending 20mins of wages to ensure your safety. ;)

Here's a good example of quality over sizing...my mate GQ Patrol fitted with Koni shockers, King Springs, and 31" GY MTR's. It was built up purely as a tourer with good gear, not a plough! I took the video footage. This bog-hole had just been chewed out by a few Land Cruisers running cheap...

Just my 2-cents on matters... The 300tdi is not speed-demon, so don't expect it to be accelerating hard. What it does best is chew the klm's up, be miserly with the juice, be a solid n reliable unit, and put out sh*tloads of torque for towing. It won't do the stop-start stuff in gridlock...

I bought my axle/vehicle stands when I started work on my 'project in the day' XJ Daimler Sovereign. They're a seriously heavy and low vehicle, so bought a pair of 3.5t stands...I preferred to err on the side of caution. The same stands have held up my Disco n Jeep, mates Patrols, Land...
