Trying to remove alternator - L series

That seems even more difficult. There does not appear to be any way to get a spanner underneath the pump with enough room to move it, unless I am missing something obvious (which is quite possible)

Trying to remove alternator - L series

Can anyone give me some advice on getting at the vacuum pump oil feed pipe from the engine block please? In the RAVE and Haynes manuals it simply says "remove oil feed pipe from the block". Trying to remove front bumper

I'm hoping the wealth of advice on this site will be able help me as much as my previous cry for help! I have to replace the ABS Modulator on my '98 Freelander 1 XEDI and have discovered that, although the job seems fairly straight forward at first glance, I now have to dimantle half of the...

    Freelander engine races on idle

Although not impossible, I'm kinda hoping that the new switch works properly and hasn't got stickiness...

    Freelander engine races on idle

This is my first post so please be gentle with me! :) My Freelander XEDI (1998 2.0L) has a tendency to rev-up to around 3000rpm when idling (e.g. at a road junction). As soon as I put my foot on the brake pedal the revs drop back to 1200rpm. Foot off the brake and the revs shoot up again...
