    Hi, I tried to use the CD changer input for an iPod, got it to work after a fashion, I used the grey & red wires (black & white wires also worked the same), left the other wires connected. I had to select the CD option from the head unit and you have to have at least one CD in the CD changer...

    Sorted.............12v going into the trinary switch connector but not coming out, removed connector quick spray of WD40, reconnected and hey presto, compressor engaged and icy air inside car!

    I couldn't source any bulbs either and was told the whole switch had to be renewed! So I removed the bulb and holder and soldered in a green "grain of rice" bulb, which are used in for model railways, fiddly to do but cheap with excellent results. look here JAVIS GR12G GREEN 12V GRAIN OF RICE...

    2 out of the 6 plugs were duff, I assume this would be enough to cause great difficulty in starting the engine with these sub zero temperatures????
