    Hello, My LR 2a will not engage any gear in high(two wheel drive). It just scratches a bit at the most. But if I engage 4-wheel drive its not problem to drive of. What could be the problem? The only thing I´ve done recently is filling up the gearbox with oil(maybe I overfilled it just a bit).

    1.Where can I buy an ignition switch for a LR 88(petrol) 1963 with positive earth? 2.I´ve been told by some that a ignition switch to a serie 2a with negative earth could be used.Is this correct and is there anyone out there who has done so? I would very much appreciate some information...

    I have a 1963-88 and I wonder if the canvas belts around the rear axle on my vehicle is common for all Land Rover or just ex.MOD? The inside of the vehicle is military green so I suspect that it´s an old MOD.

    I have a 1963 -88 and I think it´s an ex mod(olive green) inside, but there are also canvas belts hanging around the rear axle. Do you find that on all Land rovers or just ex mod?

    positive earth-how connect the distributor

    Thanks! I shouldthen connect the - on the ignition coil to the distributor and the + on the ignition coil should connect to the ignition as I understand it.

    The figures are in center and there seems to be no scratch marks. I´ll settle with that and hope that the first owner imported an example with low milage.     I recently purchased a 88, S IIA-63. It says 28395 on the odometer. It´s imported to Sweden 1996, I´m the third owner here. It´s not been driven much in Sweden by previous owners. As to judge from it´s interior colour it´s an ex MOD. The old lady is otherwise in good shape:) Question though...
