    If you are handy and inspired enough you can improvise with a short piece of solid wire with it's end hidden under the front grille but easy to grab, nobody but you will know about it and you can open the bonnet without even opening a door...

    You will need a serious look at you chassis to see if a 1/2 chassis is long enough and confirm its solid and will take a weld at the cut/joining point

    Yeah, it's pretty bad. Carefully inspect the rest of it, might not be worth putting a half chassis on it.

    Use a coolant leak detection dye and inspect around the whole engine with UV lamp cos it can be some hairline crack in a hose or somewhere and the leak occurs only with hot engine and evaporates instantly... if it's through the exhaust that one...

    The plastic tank isn't heavy. Remove the pump and syphon out the fuel first, then undo the clips on the filler hose and breather, then undo the bolts on the tank cradle and drop the tank. I've done this laying on my back and on my own many times...

    yes had the same problem, I thought is was my PC blocking it and have kept trying to open the webpages, I dont do FB, so lets hoe it a fixable problem, after all that what theses forum are all about fixing stuff

    when I removed mine it came out by pushing up on the filler side the pulling down on the opposite side

    The cranks snap have a look on YouTube for LRTIME they are just about to strip an engine down in a d4 with adblue. Seems its on its 2nd engine all ready.

    Hi, to check servo - with engine off, pump brake pedal until it goes hard. Keep foot on pedal and start engine and you should feel the pedal sink under servo assistance. HTH, Griff

    my biggest problem was I had a full tank, hence tipping it over and siphoning out all the diesel, plus I had to find something to put it all in , my local garage very kindle gave me a new empty 200 ltrs oil drum,

    You need to take the whole sunroof out, clean the old sealer off the roof & sunroof (every last bit) then reseal with sikaflex & whilst you're there check & put extra sealer on those pathetic plastic bits where the drain pipes connect.

    Hi if you happy you dont have any rust after removing the front cowl, check the grommet were the wikring loom goes through mine looke Ok but were loss and needed a reseal

    well I have owned my D2 now since, 2006, so I have not had 6 cars in the time as Ikept this one or bought an EV that cost's as much as 6 modern cars to make, so by my calc I save the planet loads
