HELP! I am hopefully nearing the end of my freelander 1 diesel engine replacement and have made a cockup!
In short, I have changed out the fuel pump, changed the belts, gave the engine 2 full turns to re-timed then noticed that I still have the pump shaft clamped with the plate removed and bolt in tight.
Does anyone know if the pump will be damaged? I think I know the answer already but thought I would get it confirmed.
