You didn,t dry fit it on the ground then ??, Hacksaw two slots 90o apart on the over fit part

MMM, mine was on the front diff but haynes shows it as you guys said, ah well back off again, mind you takes about 20 mins now,

I think we are at cross puposes here, I am talking about the front propshaft out put shaft bearing, as in front shaft off, drive flange off, circlip out, shaft & bearing out, no puller so outer race and bearing off with and with a bfh cracking the outer race , inner race off with a slitting...

With a suitable bit of steel tube will the front diff outout bearing hammer onto the shaft or is it a press job Dev

I spoke to a landrover specialist and the ammount of play on the output flange is normal, and the vibration may well be the ouput flange/shaft bearing,although he did say try it with the front prop on and in diff lock if the vibrations is not present then odds are its just the bearing Devlin

I have the front prop off, and at the output flange on the centre diff( or is that the trans box ??, ) anyway I have two areas of play,on the output flange, 1 just a little movement like you may find on spline wear but its not cos the nuts turning, and 2 beyond that I get from the 12 to the 2...

Somewhere in here there is a post on replacing the rear floor, sills and other stuff but I cant find it no matter what I put in the box, I nned a shed load of stuff done if I am going to keep the D1 and I want to price it up first Dev, Sods law just found one when looking for nothing in particular
