Not quite today,,more like friday but been away so had nt posted,, Changed plugs cos it was running a bit rough and had nt been serviced for a long time by the looks of it,, started it up and promptly either put a hole in a piston,,dropped a valve or maybe even an instant hg failure...

Spotlights wired aswell as the beacon bar and all work,,,bonus!! went to change plugs and 3 of the 4 came out easily,,, the other is well and truely fast,,given it a squirt of penetrant and see what it does tomorrow....

would an incorrect adjuster cause it to lock up in less than 12 hours??? all moving parts were cleaned and lubricated before rebuilding... sadly,, we ve had a storm tonight so have nt had chance to get the wheels off again but will be doing in the morning hopefully

I have just bought a 2000 FL1 1.8,, rear brakes were sticking badly so after reading a few of the threads on here,,decided to have a look.. last night,,jacked up the rear and the drivers wheel was solid whilst the passenger would move slightly,, stripped the drum and all looked to be ok other...

Helmsley would nt be Helmsley without the bikers.. Lived in this area since 1981 and would nt ever want to be anywhere else...

Yep,, just bought this very cheaply,,wants a few odds and ends sorting out but was hard to refuse for the money...and really,,its just a bit of a toy for me to chuck into the woods when im rallying etc,, my other motor aint exactly built for forest tracks at speed....

Nowt to get excited over sadly,,just an old pair i had stuck in the garage for now...but plans are afoot.;);). very much a case of "needs must" right now..

Today,, I ve been a busy bee.. stripped rear brakes because the handbrake was sticking badly so thats all nice and free now.. looks like its had a new spring kit fairly recently and the drivers rear wheel was really badly adjusted,,, also,,fitted some spotlights but need to wire them up...

shame youre so far away from me.......
