yeah, pretty much. Regarding the timing tool. Might be a silly question, but why need it? If you turn the engine in the normal direction, then the timing chain will be 'tight' and the cam will be in the right position for adjusting the pump. Is that right, or has my missus fed me some...

My 2.25 diesel seems to 'miss' when idling every 5 seconds or so. The injectors have been overhauled and the lift pump is new. A friend thinks it's timing, but I don't have the special tools for the scientific method. Is there a 'bloke in his shed' method of setting the timing...

I've found a bit of problem around where the tow plug is joined in. Broken wire and crappy joins. Also found a broken wire behind the dash which looks like it goes into the tow plug wiring. Rain (around 200mm in the afternoon :eek:) stopped play, plus I'm getting too ****ed off with it...
